QHSE Officer

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QHSE Officer to join our client in Port Harcourt. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring workplace quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance across operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and maintenance of QHSE management systems, policies, and procedures

• Assist in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections

• Help ensure compliance with local and international QHSE regulations and standards

• Support investigations of incidents and assist in implementing corrective measures

• Assist in delivering QHSE training and awareness programs to staff

• Monitor environmental impact, waste management, and sustainability initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or related field

• 0-3 years experience in QHSE or related roles (oil & gas, logistics, or manufacturing preferred)

• Basic knowledge of HSE regulations, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards

• Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISPON is a plus

• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn
